Step 1 - divide the power by four in a calculator. So type 263/4 into a calculator. What does that give you?

Step 2 - Is that answer a whole number?
                                Yes, so i^263 = 1                                No, it's a decimal

Step 3 - What comes after the decimal in 65.75
                                .25, so i^263 = i                                .5, so i^263 = -1                                .75, so i^263 = -i
